Baby No Eyes

Proverbs 3:5&6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight. NASB
Have you ever gotten really lost and kept going in circles? I know that this has happened to most of us multiple times. It seems no matter where your turn, you end up right back where you started. Anxiety and frustration begin to build. Then in desperation you cry out to God, “Help me!” Almost immediately, you know the way to go or are told to stop and ask someone who gets you headed in the right direction. Why couldn’t you figure it out on your own? Why couldn’t you see the way to go?
I often see people that look like the dog in the field chasing his tail. And yes that person is sometimes me. It is pointless to keep going round and round in that circle. The worst part is that it makes you dizzy and even sick to your stomach, but we just keep going. Why?
We missed the point in the verse above. We should first trust in the Lord and not trust our judgement and sight. We must also ask for His help and guidance and all will work out perfectly in His way and time.
I prefer the quickest, most straight line way to get anywhere, but when I use my judgement I can get lost. What would happened if we learned to always, every time ask God for His way for our day? I know that the day will go better, definitely not as I saw it, but perfect in His will.
Why do we not do this? We believe that our way is better than Gods. It is part of being in this fallen world. Self-reliance is a great stumbling block for us. We want God to do what we see and want.
God’s will is perfect. When we get in line with His will for us, amazing wonderful things will happen. It won’t be what we see and want, but it will be exactly what we need. God is always right on time with what we need. Thank you Lord!
You are thinking that I do not know how long you have stood in faith for something. I do not know how much you have prayed and fasted for it. I have a dear friend who prayed over 30 years for her son and his friend to come to Christ. It did happen in God’s time and way. We must give it to the Lord in faith that is blind and let Him do what is best. Friend, when you lay it at the feet of Jesus and let Him have it, only then will things begin to happen for you. Holding on can often stop God’s will because all you see is what you want.
The following verse is spot on for this topic:
Hebrew 11:1
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
