Romans 15:13

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in the hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. NASB

I have had a rough last 10 days or so. What should one do when it seems that nothing is going right? When we lose someone that we love too soon? When we have no money to pay our bills? When our spouse leaves us? Yes, you got it! We must let God’s hope fill us through the Holy Spirit.

What do you do when you are not seeing it or understanding it? I recommend that you talk with the Lord about it. Have a very frank conversation about your feelings, doubts, fears and concerns. He is a big God. He can take it. He already knows how we feel, but He longs to hear it from us. For us to be honest with Him. I always feel better after doing this. Then calm and quiet comes and I hear from God on the subject. You see what God wants is that relationship with us all the time. Yes even when things are not going well. This is where God shines if we let Him.

Even if everything is going great in your life, you need more of God. Please include Him in the good times. Give Him praise for the wonderful things. Thank Him for your blessings.

His ways are not our ways. He never seems to do things the way that I think He should. I have had friends who have gotten new cars given to them. I have seen people healed. When it comes to what I need, He tends to do for me in a unique way. Never as I expect it.

We have to let God fill us with the joy and peace. I can’t find it on my own that is for sure. Lol

Then and only then will be have the hope of God via the Holy Spirit. Again, we have to be willing to receive it no matter how things look to us at the time. God will make a way, but it will be His way. I always think that I know how and what I need, but His ways are always best in our lives.

Please take the following verse to heart when you go to bed tonight:

Psalms 4:8

In peace I will both lie down and sleep, For You alone, O Lord make me to dwell in safety. NASB
