I had a dear friend call me this morning for prayer. He had two requests. I reminded him that he needs to put those on my website at www.soundmindandheart.com. I assured him that I would pray without ceasing and asked that he pray for me.
I am on a journey of faith. Since I lost my job last May, I started a Christian Counseling business that can pay its bills, but not yet pay me. My unemployment runs out in April. I believe that God wants me to keep helping the people that He is bringing. Since many of my clients are low income, I have applied to the IRS to become a 5013c corporation which is a non-profit. Naturally, our government does not get in a hurry. They cashed my check and after 6 weeks finally sent me a letter that they have my application. God is in control.
My life has been a journey of ups and downs both financially and emotionally. Obviously finances are very tight at this point. When I cry out to the Lord about this. He asks me one question, “Are your bills paid?” I answer, “Yes Lord they are. Thank you.” My God has a real sense of humor and He is always right on time.
My faith is strong. I know that God will take care of my finances. Sometimes, when I am emotional I can feel the fear and anxiety come over me. I can choose to believe and trust God or live in fear. We all have this choice to make many times a day.
Several weeks ago, a neighbor of mine turned in two false police reports on me. The police came to my home twice and told me that I had done nothing wrong, but that they had to follow-up because of the calls. This person has been a problem for some time. The reports were followed up by a face to face harassment session which was not the first one by any means. My daughter became adamant that I had to have a video surveillance system put in at my house. We had dinner one night to discuss it. She offered to buy one camera since I do not have any extra money for it. I told her that I was okay with that, but that I really needed a complete system with 3 cameras and a DVR. The next day I received a call from her. She was talking so fast and excitably that I made her stop and slow down so I could understand what she was saying. It turns out that she was closing down a store for her company and that they were leaving the CCTV system in the building. Yes, you guessed right it is a complete system with 3 cameras and a DVR. God provided exactly what I needed for my home. Thank you God for taking care of me. He even provided the installation for only $120.
As we ended the call this morning, I told my friend that I expect God to show out in our lives. He will provide what we need. I am standing on this and waiting with excitement to see what my God does.
