Mercy

James 2:12-13

Talk and act like a person expecting to be judged by the Rule that sets us free.  For if you refuse to act kindly, you can hardly expect to be treated kindly.  Kind mercy wins over harsh judgement every time.  Message

I went to see the movie. “War Room” yesterday.  I highly recommend it.  The message is to seek God and give mercy to those who have hurt us.  Prayer changes things.  Prayer will change us first so we can change the world around us.

What is kind mercy?  Mercy is undeserved favor.  So when we are kind and give mercy to those that have hurt or wronged us, we are doing what Jesus did.  Jesus was the most persecuted man to ever live, but He chose love and mercy for those who wronged Him.

Jesus Christ set us free from sin.  By recognizing Him as our Savior and confessing our sins, we are free.  So this should make us present kind mercy in our lives.  Why do we choose anger and revenge for those that wrong us?  We are to choose love.  The love that set us free from sin.  The love that when we show kind mercy to our enemies can draw them to God.

If we are human and choose our way, then we will not receive kind mercy.  We must give to others what we have received from the Lord.

Kindness and love will triumph over evil every time.  First, you approach the situation with the peace and joy of God.  He is in control.  He is responsible for the results.  You are responsible to be obedient and show kind mercy.

My friend, I know that it hurts when you are wronged.  Take the hurt to the throne of the Lord.  He can and will heal your hurts and give you love back.  Take this love and show kind mercy to all that you encounter.

Psalm 145:8

God is all mercy and grace-not quick to anger, is rich in love. NASB
