Life’s Only Light

In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. NASB

My brother in law went to be with the Lord today. He lived 70 years and was married to my sister 50 of those years. Billy Bert is with Jesus the Light now.

Our light is Jesus. He is the way, the truth and the Light. Without Him, we were condemned to sin and death. With Him, we have eternal life. I pray that each of you reading this knows Jesus as your personal savior. If you do not, please ask Jesus into your life and confess your sins and the need for Him right now. We never know how long we have left in this life.

What are our lives about? Is it doing what we want? Is it acquiring as much as we can in this world? Is it about getting our way in all things? Is it about friends? Is it about family? Each of us ask ourselves these questions from time to time. What is the answer?

The correct answer is that our lives should be about Jesus. We should strive every day to be closer and more like Him. Jesus is our life and light. Without Him, we have nothing. The other things are secondary to our relationship with our Savior.

I challenge each of you to look at your lives and evaluate what your life is about. It is never too late for a course correction.

The following verse promises us:

John 3:15

So that whoever believes in Him have eternal life. NASB
